Fort Huachuca Transportation Operations
VT Group provides passenger travel, personal property shipment
and storage and freight services for all authorized DoD
personnel. We process more than 2,600 overseas reservations,
2,800 shipping requests, 450 outbound shipments and 700 inbound
shipments annually. We also provide traffic management
services for the movement of personnel on orders, arranging port
calls for overseas travel; preparing all necessary travel-related
documents to ship, receive and store personal property; and
classifying, shipping, receiving and packing freight.
We manage:

More than 19 million pounds-6,600 shipments-each year,

1,500 international shipments,

1,650 personnel moves,

6,600 Government Bill of Lading (GBLs) and

7,300 passengers.
Additional services include:
- Transportation motor pool services (TMP) services for Fort
Huachuca, responding to more than 10,000 dispatches, carrying
250,000 passengers, making 8,000 shuttle bus runs and driving
nearly a million miles every year.
- Managing and operating GSA and
leased vehicles, contract-furnished vehicles, tactical vehicles and
material handling equipment (MHE).
- Operating truck scales,
administering driver testing, issuing licenses and providing
weekend and holiday shuttle services as required.
